I took Akari-san's 3-week speaking program and it was exactly what I needed! Before her program, I was studying on my own without the help of a teacher. While learning vocabulary and reading was alright, you cannot get detailed feedback on your speech. Many language learning apps will tell you you're wrong, but not give you context as to why you were wrong, or why some words/phrases work in one context but not another. Akari-san gives excellent, detailed feedback that you can easily understand and put to use right away. Also, no program or textbook can give you feedback on pronunciation and pitch intonation; which I quickly learned I was lacking before starting this program.

I really enjoyed the Three Week Speaking programme with Akari. Moving from learning Japanese to speaking is difficult and being able to send small messages every day really helped build my confidence.
I also liked that the format was low pressure and I could reply when I wanted, but replies were often enough that I was able to practice speaking and listening every day.

Before I began working with Akari I struggled with speaking Japanese.
