Before we begin, I want to explain something important about this course.

This is not a traditional listening course.

We are not going to translate Japanese sentence by sentence, and this is not a course focused on listening test questions.

Of course, you will practice listening, but more importantly, this course is about training how you listen.

Many learners feel that natural Japanese is too fast,

even when they already know grammar and vocabulary.

In this course, we will explore a different approach to listening and train skills that can help listening feel more natural over time.

These are skills that you can continue using not only Japanese, but for other languages too.
